Today we are going to have the discussion that has been waiting to be discussed for a long time to kids and we are going to talk about how kids are getting too much homework from school. There are several reasons why we think it should be a balanced amount.

Firstly, kids shouldn't have to waste their time doing homework as they could be playing with friends, toys and maybe even family.

Secondly, you don't have to get rid of it but you could make it more fun and easier to enjoy. So we recommend an arty homework idea.

For all the reasons above we have agreed that the amount of homework will be lowered. Do you agree?

  2. Dear Head of Local authority of education, 14.12.2015
I congratulate you on your promotion to head of the local authority of education, now I plea to you to reduce the amount of homework in schools given to pupils by teachers in all the years of a Childs education (Preschool-year 12). I am not writing on my opinion only but on the behalf of all pupils and with expert opinion.
The first reason why this would be beneficial is that many children are bored by their homework and describe it as being ‘tortured’ by a teacher, they also think this is boring and dull job with no meaning. It’s absurd! 72.5172% of phycologists agree with my advice and working your brain to hard when you don’t want to is dangerous due to the human stress conditions and the consequence could be strokes and other brain problems this is simply unacceptable, Don’t you think? Also children having too much homework is keeping them from doing their hobbies and having fun this is just too much, Don’t you think?
Finally majority of children think their homework is occupying them too much and giving them time for almost nothing else, this could push them to the limits and make them work deep into the night, this consequence slows down the process of development in a child as every child from reception must sleep at least eight to ten hours. If they do not they might sleep during the duration of the day, feel drowsy and lead to severe headaches. This can not be tolerated! Don’t you think this is critical in helping children?
So with arguable debate and for all above reasons I think the local authority of education should reduce the amount of homework given to pupils.
    Regards Chanakya

  3. Children Should have Less Home work
    ********************************
People have been debating for a long time whether children should get less home-work. Some Scientists have been seeing the effects of children getting less homework . Do you think it effects them?

People think we should not have so much homework as there might be a time in the year when your child will be exhausted and tired because they have lots of home work in their mind .They may have more or extra home work and they might have extra after school activities and have no time to relax. Obviously ,that's why we should have less home work.

In addition we should also have less home work so that we can have some rest and not have things stuffed up in our minds and we can do our work with relaxing mind. Do you Know that if you have lots of things in your mind then at school you might not be able to concentrate and get dizzy.

Clearly as stated above those must be the reasons why you feel worn out and tired. So do you think we should have less homework? How could you live with so much homework?

  4. Children have wanted less homework as the teacher gives too much and there is not enough to finish it all before it is due. Do you think they should have less homework?

The first reason for this is so the children will have time to learn about other thing such as science as we don’t have science homework so if we have time for that you will be pleased with us. Also if we not at school for a certain reason and we don’t have internet we would post it late and get into trouble.

Secondly the time we have after we finish our homework isn’t enough but if we had less we would have time to do something else like more reading or extra research another one is so we don’t have to rush to eat because we have to go to bed early for a reason such as school starts early for a trip. Or a childminder has to drop you to school every day.

With all of this above I think we should have less homework so we have time for other things.

  5. Should Children Have Less Homework?
    --------------------------------------------------------

Homework is an essential in a child’s life because it can expand a child’s knowledge. Whereas, too much homework is not very good for children as they might not be able to think clearly. 84.21% of children say that they should definitely have less homework. I strongly believe that children should have less homework as well. What is your opinion? Can you really imagine children with so much homework!?

There are several points I will explain.

The first point is that children don’t get enough relaxation and rest. Children might have fear of not sleeping on time and getting up the next day. If children have too much homework then they will constantly be thinking about it, unable to focus on the job at hand. It can also cause children to get bored of lots of homework and surely won’t come to school.

The second reason I will explain is that children don’t have enough time to enjoy with their friends and family. To add, they won’t get enough time to play outdoors and will not breathe in any fresh oxygen making them suffocate indoors. Homework doesn’t mean sitting on a desk with a pencil and paper or on a computer doing sums. We can mix it up with everyday life and make it fun. It can also expand an individual’s knowledge.

If children are sitting in front of a computer for a long time and repetitively learning then they aren’t expanding their knowledge. A suggestion of homework could be doing work outdoors for example in science we could do outdoor learning, observing plants and presenting our findings every week or experiments. Homework can also be fun for kids such as counting money in a shop for maths, writing in sand on a beach for spelling and literacy and finally for topic you could have a race about who can find a country on a globe the fastest or just visit the country. Children could have a completely different attitude to homework if it is fun, not boring and dull.

In conclusion, children barely have any time to do anything else that is necessary and therefore the majority of children say they should undeniably have less homework. I even have a famous quote as evidence. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, all play and no work makes Jack a mere toy.” This means children should balance their work time and play time.

P.S. Please can we have less and fun homework Miss Joseph!

  6. Don’t you think Childeren should have less homework?
There are several reasons why there should be less homework in schools. Firstly, you can see your child more and you will have more time to spend with them. Furthermore, you won’t have to do lots of writing because you will have less homework.
Moreover you have more time to relax because you would come back from a busy day at school. In addition, you will have more time to read and by the way that is educational. More importantly, you will have more time to sleep so when you wake up you will be ready for school.
I belive that having less homework is a great idea because you have ideas for not having homework.

  7. Every few years, usually at the start of the school year, researchers, parents, teachers and students debate the value of doing schoolwork at home.

I personally think, that amount of homework should depend on the children's age. Children in Primary School should have less homework, because they are still young and going sleep earlier then older children, so they have not enough time to relax and play with friends and family.
Furthermore we kids now days have allot of stuff to do. By the time we got home the day is almost over and we have sports and band to do. And if we have more homework we don't have anytime to do stuff outside or hangout with our friends and family's.

  8. Should children have less homework?

Yes we should have more Homework!

We should have more homework so we can get more knowledge. Homework helps your brain to think on what you are doing.

Well, we need more education starting from age 4 because we obviously would not know a lot when we are a baby. There are several other reasons of why we need more homework. The first reason is because it gets them into higher grades at school. If the homework relates to what they (children) do in class then they will know more and might write more. We can also get practice at home then we will improve, practice makes perfect.

There are several parents that need peace and get more work done at home, while the children doing their homework then the parents can get their work done too.

No we should have less homework!

Most children said they do not want homework because it is tiring.

Firstly, teachers have to mark the work and if they are busy doing something else and forget about homework then the teacher might even forget to explain the homework. A majority of kids say they are happy about not having any homework.

Secondly, homework squeezes out play and playing is active. Staring at the computer screen all day long doing homework is boring and we won’t get any much fun. If we can’t run around or do some sports it won’t make us fit. Plus it is surely busy work.

In conclusion a reasonable homework can be done and practice makes perfect. If there is too much homework then play time would be missed and everyone has to have at least 1 or 2 play times for relaxation.

  9. You should children have less homework?
In this piece of text I will try to persuade you to make students have less homework. After reading these texts I hope feel the same as me.
The first reason is that children will have less homework they will get more time to play as playing will make children’s ideas grow and that will help with school work. Moreover, children might find a subject hard for explain literacy. Lots of children find spelling hard and are scared if there are going to get a spelling wrong and the pressure on them will get in the way when they get tested.
Additionally, maths homework has no time limits so if the person is slow they will get it done slower meaning they will spend longer on the homework and if you have a family computer and your parents come home they will have to wait as they child is working. Also, doing homework will take around one hour just for English and Maths. They will still have to do spelling as well as reading and children will need to do this every day. Lastly, having less homework will take less time as you send 6 hours and 30 minutes at school so having more homework in away add on the school hours.
I hope now you are going to make children have less homework. I hope you make this change

  10. Should Children have less homework?

Many children have stress having to do their homework because they can't do it all the time and some children do extra work at home .

I believe that many children can't go out as homework is taking majority of their time. On the other hand, there are children who doesn't care about their homework and the free education they are given like there are some children in the world who have to pay to receive an education.

Surely, you might of have felt the same way. What did children do to deserve this kind of pressure and homework? Not every child is the same, some children don't have interest about their education but you can't blame them acting this way.

    Children should have less homework
    -----------------------------------

Some people think that children should have less homework to do. Surely a lot of children would agree with that.

Firstly children should have less homework so that they have more time to play educational games to learn new things and have fun doing activities that they enjoy. They should have to play games and relax because they spend six hours at school doing work so they should rest their brain when they get home. Furthermore, some parents can't help children do their work but if you give less homework then maybe the children could be able to manage the work by themselves.

In addition, when parents try to help their children do their work, this can create disagreements with the family. This can cause many children to dislike and not enjoy doing work so this is why you should give children less homework.

I hope you agree to what I said and decide to give less homework to children. Should children have less homework? The answer is definitely YES!

  12. Should Children have less homework?

In the past few months, us children have been saying that teachers give loads of homework and we can't finish it in time. So there are many reasons why we should have less homework.

First of all, when the teachers give a ton of homework and we try to do it we get bored and tired. However, if we have less homework we won't get tired and bored due to the time it takes to publish the homework!

Furthermore, as we do our homework the time ticks every micro-second and seems like it takes a long long time. Although, if there is less homework to do, we would finish it quicker to do some other jobs.

The third issue is that with tones of homework, children cannot spend time on doing creative things like art, drawing and painting. Nonetheless, less homework will help children spend more time on physical activities or something creative to help us learn new things.

So I believe that all what I said above , we should have less homework. Do you think we should have less homework?

    regards,
    Krish

  13. Homework is really important because you can remember subjects that you learn in school with your teacher. For example we get are spellings at school and we practice them for are homework and remember them for our spellings test. The more you practice something the better you get at it this is why homework is important.

Firstly I will write about children getting less homework then I will write about children getting more homework and then I will write a conclusion.

Children should have less homework because they can have more fun going out and playing football, tennis, rugby, cricket and more .People in school get tired of learning and need to relax and rest your brian .Like in Sweden they don't go to school and have no homework but they still learn as much as we do.Some children can't do there homework properly because their parents are to busy or they don't know how to help them.

On the other hand when you are joining year seven you are not use to homework. In year seven you are expected to do five to seven hours. If you don't hand in your homework in on time you will get homework detentions and fall behind .Furthermore completing homework helps you are an independent learner. It means that you don't always need to ask the teacher when you are stuck you try to work out the problems and find the answers by yourself. This is an important skill for school, college, university and at work.

In conclusion I believe that we shouldn't have less homework but should add on a little bit more homework each year to get prepared for secondary school.
